The terrible layover was worth it. The Porto airport started bustling and I went to get a shot of espresso and it was €1 – THAT is what I’m used to for some european ‘spro shots. As someone who's never traveled in a hostel - I'm finding it's a perfect place to start meeting people if you're doing a solo journey. KEX has a bar and a few common areas, so it makes it easier to meet new friends!
